Information on School Reopening Beginning April 20
Posted 4/5/21

Hello El Dorado Parents and Guardians. This is Principal Mr. Martinez.

I hope that you and your family are well and safe. Because of our safety protocols, and declining COVID rates, I am excited to reiterate Mr. Beutner’s announcement that our school will be reopening the week of April 19th.

To ensure a smooth transition, we are reopening grade by grade, with staggered start times. Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20. Grades 2-3 will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, and Grades 4- 5/6 will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 22.

Please note that these start times of 8, 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. will be in effect for the remainder of the school year.

We have already made plans based on the selection forms that were submitted by the due date. If you have not yet done so, please complete the Program Selection Form at reopening.lausd.net/familyselection.  We will try to accommodate your request.

If your child will be returning to school, he or she must take a COVID test the week before the start of school and must have a negative result.

Los Angeles Unified provides free COVID tests for students and their families at dozens of school sites around the district.

Please use your Parent Portal account to log onto the Daily Pass website to schedule your child’s test. You can also schedule an appointment by calling the help desk at (213) 443-1300.

Please continue to listen and look at our school website for updates. We will  be hosting a town hall meeting to share upcoming school plans and the most recent information. If you need help or have questions, please call our office at 818 367-5816.

We look forward to welcoming our students back to a safe learning environment!
